Our client is seeking an appropriately skilled Audit and Risk Support Officer - ASO Class 4, to commence work in a small and highly motivated team responsible for internal audit and risk management functions.
Duty Statement:
- Support the Internal Audit and Risk Management Team
- Maintain productive relationships with the agencies business units, internal and external stakeholders
- Support timely management responses to all audit recommendations, the Audit Committee, Risk Management Committee and the Chief Executive
- Maintain up to date audit response registers and risk registers
- Support the implementation of the risk management framework and support the continual review of strategic business risks within Divisions
- Provide support to the Risk Management Coordinator, including routine review of actions taken to minimise risk and conduct risk awareness training as required
- Undertake all other relevant tasks as may be assigned to this position from time to time
Selection Criteria
- Communication (oral and written) skills of a high order, including the preparation of reports, updating of policies and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to provide high quality customer service and support to business preferably through the delivery of business improvement programs
- Knowledge and understanding of audit and risk management, or capacity and willingness to quickly acquire such skills
- Demonstrated capacity to work in a team environment, professionalism, integrity and ability to consistently display commitment to objectives
- A knowledge of and demonstrated ability to consistently display a commitment to Workplace Diversity, OH&S and ID principles.
